Currently, Suits is capturing the attention of viewers everywhere this summer, even though the legal drama concluded its run on USA Network over ten years ago.
Since its arrival on Netflix, Suits has consistently ranked among the Top 10 shows in various countries. This resurgence in popularity could be attributed to it being Meghan Markle’s final acting role, or perhaps it’s simply a testament to the fact that Suits is highly entertaining for binge-watching. Regardless of the reasons, the interest in Suits has definitely been rekindled.
The series centers around Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout who, with his impressive photographic memory, manages to secure a job at a high-powered law firm under the astute Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). As Mike endeavors to conceal his lack of formal credentials, he finds himself tangled in legal battles, workplace dynamics, and a romantic entanglement with paralegal Rachel Zane (Markle).
Once you finish watching all the seasons available on Netflix, you may find yourself wanting more of Suits’ engaging blend of legal drama, clever humor, and captivating characters. Here are seven shows similar to Suits that you should consider adding to your watch list.
‘The Practice’
David E. Kelley leverages his legal background to craft beloved legal dramas, the first being The Practice (which was followed by Ally McBeal on this list). Kelley’s works skillfully merge intriguing legal cases with moments of light-hearted comedy, much like Suits.
The Practice boasts an excellent ensemble cast, including Dylan McDermott as senior partner Bobby Donnell, who leads a talented team featuring receptionist/paralegal Rebecca Washington (LisaGay Hamilton), Eugene Young (Steve Harris), and associates Ellenor Frutt (Camryn Manheim) and Lindsay Dole (Kelli Williams). The show’s appeal was so strong that it even spawned a spinoff, Boston Legal.

‘Franklin and Bash’
The entertaining rapport between Harvey and Mike in Suits can also be found in the dynamic duo of Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). Starting as free-spirited lawyers, they are recruited by managing partner Stanton Infeld (Malcolm Macdowell) after defeating the prestigious firm Infeld & Daniels.
Franklin and Bash’s unconventional approach resonates with the savvy maneuvering of their Suits equivalents, and they are surrounded by a colorful cast of characters, including Kumail Nanjiani as the agoraphobic Pindar and Rhea Seehorn as an assistant DA.

‘The Good Wife’
Similar to Suits, the legal drama created by Robert and Michelle King presents a new case each week, featuring fast-paced dialogue, attractive lawyers, and a diverse array of quirky clients, witnesses, and judges. Guest stars frequently come from Broadway, as the show filmed in New York but was set in Chicago (while Suits was filmed in Toronto and set in NYC).
Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies) isn’t harboring a major secret but is certainly an inexperienced rookie at the firm. Her husband Peter (Chris Noth) is a former state’s attorney serving time for corruption and a scandal involving infidelity. Now, Alicia must step up as the family’s breadwinner for her two children while determinedly navigating her return to the legal profession.

‘Better Call Saul’
It’s somewhat unconventional to classify Better Call Saul strictly as a legal drama, similar to how one wouldn’t label Breaking Bad purely as a show about chemistry. Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) starts as a con artist, ultimately transforming into a morally questionable lawyer, much like Harvey Specter.
Initially, Jimmy is on the straight and narrow, under the mentorship of fellow attorney Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn). However, his ambition and desire for success lead him into the gritty world of drug dealings alongside characters like Nacho Varga (Michael Mando), Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito).
