« Revving Up the Racing Experience: Gran Turismo 7’s Latest Update 1.29 Brings PSVR 2 Compatibility and Tougher AI Opponents »

Sony has released an update for Gran Turismo 7, making it compatible with PlayStation VR 2. The new update, version 1.29, also introduces new AI opponents, giving players an even more challenging driving experience.

Released on February 22, 2023, PlayStation VR 2 offers various improvements over its predecessor. With several games available at launch, players can now enjoy even more titles thanks to free updates that add VR compatibility, like Gran Turismo 7.

Polyphony Digital, the game’s developers, have released a trailer showcasing the new update, which includes several new cars: the Citroën DS 21 Pallas ’70 (1970), Honda RA 272 (1965), Porsche 911 Carrera RS (1973), Italdesign Exeneo Vision Gran Turismo Street Mode, and Italdesign Exeneo Vision Gran Turismo Mode tout-terrain.

In addition to the new cars, the update also includes a new track, Grand Valley Highway 1, and a new mode called « Gran Turismo Sophy – drive together » where players face a superhuman AI opponent.

Almost entirely playable in VR, Gran Turismo 7 promises an immersive gaming experience with crisp, high-contrast visuals and 3D audio. With over 450 cars to choose from, players can explore the vehicles in VR from the inside out, with a showroom providing a detailed view of the car models.

Sony’s new VR headset, PlayStation VR 2, is available now for €600, but a PS5 console is required to use it. The headset offers improved graphics, haptic feedback, and a wide field of view, making it a worthy addition for any fan of VR gaming.

In conclusion, with the release of the PlayStation VR 2 and updates like the one for Gran Turismo 7, Sony is providing players with new, exciting ways to experience their favorite games. The addition of VR compatibility and challenging new AI opponents only adds to the already impressive gameplay of Gran Turismo 7.
