Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi 13 (Pro), and it seems there may even be a Xiaomi 13 Lite on the horizon, according to leaked information from a German retailer. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are expected to launch in the coming days, but the Xiaomi 13 Lite was apparently revealed when an electronics retailer accidentally posted details of the device online. Although the post has since been removed, it did reveal the price and technical specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to have an entry-level price of €499.90 and to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The device is also expected to have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display, a 4,500mAh battery, and a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel sensor.
However, the specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Lite are not particularly impressive when compared to other smartphones in the same price range, such as the Samsung Galaxy A53, which offers more battery capacity, a better screen, and a more powerful camera for less money. The only advantage the Xiaomi 13 Lite has over other devices is its faster chipset.
The Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and Lite will be officially unveiled on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress. As for whether the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be a worthwhile investment, that will depend on the individual consumer’s needs and preferences. It remains to be seen whether the device’s faster chipset will be enough to sway buyers, given the other phones available in the same price range with better specs.
